Pre-order Thomas Manton's works

For those interested and who have a little extra Christmas money, Solid Ground Christian Books (SGCB) is reprinting and re-typesetting The Complete Works of Thomas Manton (1620-1677).

Known to many for his excellent series of expositions on Psalm 119, Manton was one of the foremost Puritan leaders of the 17th century. In 1871 Bishop J. C. Ryle said of publication of the 19th century edition of Manton's works:

The publication of a complete and uniform edition of Manton's works is a great boon to the readers of English theology. Many of his best writings have been hitherto inaccessible to all who have not long purses and large libraries. The few who know him would gladly testify, I am sure, that Thomas Manton was one of the best authors of his day, and that his works richly deserve reprinting.

SGCB is offering a pre-publication special, which you can order from here.

I am glad to have seen this blog. I linked it. I am thankful to God that the Puritan light is still aflame (even if it is only in the hearts of a few).

May the Lord use new technology to promote old paths!

This is great news. I certainly look forward to this series. I have enjoyed reading his work on James and I am sure that his other works will be up to the same high par.

Thanks also for the work put into this very helpful blog, as well!
